Matt brings over 20 years of expertise in complex legal structuring for ultra-affluent clients in the U.S. His extensive background includes nearly a decade of teaching substantive estate planning law to attorneys nationwide. Alongside Jonathan Mintz, Matt co-founded Evergreen Legacy Planning, which evolved into the Bespoke Group. Matt is a pioneer in developing comprehensive planning and protection structures, both in the world of cryptocurrency and for visionary entrepreneurs and change-makers across various industries.

Much of Matt’s effort is spent helping highly affluent wealth builders embrace the qualitative, human side of planning in addition to the more mechanical and technical elements of legal planning. He believes that someone should only engage in complex planning with “eyes wide open,” and he enjoys the process of helping clients understand the important tradeoffs when considering various strategies and jurisdictions. He seeks to demystify complex strategies so clients can confidently make informed decisions.

A man of many interests, Matt spends his free time reading nonfiction books – often memoirs or books on philosophy, economics, geopolitics, and demographics – and pursuing other “right brain” hobbies. Matt is a cyclist, a craft IPA and whiskey connoisseur, and an avid traveler and car enthusiast. His garage is his “Zen Garden” where weekends are spent tinkering on his favorite toys.

Bespoke is the third company Jonathan has co-run with McClintock, first Wealth Counsel (2008-2013), Evergreen Legacy Planning law firm and now Bespoke Group. Jonathan serves a diverse clientele of affluent individuals and families with both domestic and international interests, including non-U.S. individuals, professional athletes, entrepreneurs, and crypto-affluent. His motto: maximize wealth protection, minimize taxes.

Jonathan specializes in planning for and managing concentrated, complex, or unusual assets. His passion lies in creating structures that ensure strong family governance for generations, through privacy and long-term wealth preservation. An author, speaker, member of the California Bar Association, and WealthCounsel, Jonathan was also an Adjunct Professor of Estate Planning at the Chapman University Fowler School of Law and served as chair of STEP-Orange County.

Jonathan cherishes time with his two adult daughters, and shares a love for cycling with his wife; they have biked mountains across the US, Canada, France, Italy, and Switzerland.

In addition to managing all operations for Bespoke and its subsidiaries, Lauren supports private client matters and communications within the team, as well as with allied professionals. Lauren handles project management and oversees strategic growth within the firm. Her goal is to help all stakeholders reach their highest potential both personally and professionally. As Chief Compliance Officer within Bespoke Advisory, Lauren oversees all aspects of compliance training, testing, and auditing for regulatory reporting with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Having received the Women in Business Scholarship, Lauren completed her MBA in December 2023. Alongside her studies and work at Bespoke, she volunteers with various nonprofit organizations within the disability community in Colorado. Lauren also enjoys hiking with her pup, as well as traveling, reading, and dancing.

Sune has worked with international entrepreneurial families across all areas of wealth and asset management for over two decades and served as a trusted advisor within his client’s businesses. A staunch believer in the transformative powers of entrepreneurs at both economic and societal levels, he seeks to be the protector of these builders and the value and wealth they create. Sune constructs estate plans, identifying ideal custody options, and designs custom cross-asset strategies to protect and grow long-term wealth.

Having left his native Denmark at the age of 18, Sune has since raised children, and built businesses around the world. Never too far from a few ongoing books or research reports, Sune also enjoys daily walks, and being a devoted father to three. With the understanding magic happens outside the comfort zone, Sune enjoys traveling to new places and interacting with people from different walks of life.

He is a partner and the director of geopolitical analysis at Cognitive Investments, a registered investment adviser offering wealth management services to individuals, family offices, and institutional investors. He holds a master’s degree with distinction from Oxford University and a bachelor’s degree in Near Eastern studies from Cornell University. 

Jacob lives in New Orleans with his wife and daughter. When he’s not tweeting at 4 a.m. about the latest international developments or commodities prices, you might find him on a continuing mission to find the world’s best cheeseburger, dragging his family to Civil War battle sites, or doing his best Larry Bird impersonation at a pickup basketball game.

Rob leads the investment team and is responsible for all final decisions on Cognitive’s investment strategies. In addition to CI, Rob is Director of Research at Off Wall Street (OWS), which has been providing fundamental investment research to institutional hedge funds since 1990. Prior to OWS, Rob managed $250M in equity and bond portfolios at a Boston-based investment advisor to individuals and families. 

Rob earned his BA from the College of the Holy Cross, with a double major in Classics and English, and a minor in Computer Science. He holds both the CMT® (Chartered Market Technician) and CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) designations. 

Rob is based in Paris but loves to travel. He is a solid cook and has been an obsessive reader/book collector since childhood. Though with two sons and a new baby girl, nowadays his go-to is probably "Le Petit Prince".

Elijah serves as the primary contact between Bespoke clients and our internal team. In addition to administering the direct relationship with our clients, Elijah facilitates the onboarding processes for incoming Bespoke clients and the administrative steps to follow. Elijah has assisted in the development and launch of various early projects; such as a blockchain-based decentralized platform for public-private partnership incubation, as well as a quantitative and autonomous trading system for regenerative investment yield across wide ranging assets and markets.

People are Elijah’s driving force; he thrives in a team environment supporting others in achieving their goals. When not working, Elijah is spending time with loved ones, on the golf course or absorbed in anything DeFi, sports, or car related.

From large hedge funds with AUM over $10 billion and digital assets to individual financial planners, Ali has worked with a range of clients. She’s been a part of several start-up businesses and in 2019 founded her financial marketing business.

Ali provides the Bespoke team with timely insights on the evolving space of sustainable investment strategies and helps structure investments around individual positions and at a portfolio universe level.

Approachable and open -- no question is too small, Ali believes a beginners mindset takes you far in life - there is always more to learn.

In addition to seamlessly balancing her career and the joys (and challenges) of motherhood, Ali enjoys putting bankers through the 'spin cycle' as an indoor cycling coach in Zurich, traveling around Europe (Paris and Amsterdam are some of her favorites), learning about nutrition and reading murder mysteries.

With over 12 years as a CFP and former RIA owner, Adam has woven his traditional financial experience into the world of cryptocurrency and DeFi. Adam adopts a consultative and conversational approach, placing utmost importance on ensuring that clients not only comprehend proposed recommendations but, more crucially, understand the underlying reasons behind them.

Adam co-founded Interaxis, a company that educates financial professionals on navigating the crypto market. He had over 80 Fidelity employees join the course to learn how to incorporate digital assets into their practices. Adam's appeared on Bloomberg TV, is a regular contributor to CoinDesk, and has served on the board for their Crypto for Advisors conference. Additionally, he established PlannerDAO, a decentralized community for financial advisors, which now boasts over 1,200 members.

Based in the Middle East since 2008, Rachel spent almost a decade at Mubadala - one of the Middle East’s largest sovereign wealth funds - in their Capital Markets & Treasury team. A CFA Charterholder and chartered treasurer, in 2014 the Association of Corporate Treasurers named Rachel “The One to Watch”. After 3 years with SkyBridge Capital responsible for their Middle East Operations, she now acts as Managing Director at 3iQ, one of the world’s largest digital asset managers.

A trained journalist with 6 years’ experience at the BBC, Rachel is also the TV host for Digital Asset Report and acts as MC for numerous international high-profile events.

Passionate about helping others become more confident public speakers, Rachel co-founded “The Speakeasy Club”, an online training platform for Public Speaking. Rachel is a published author, a member of Mensa, and a decidedly average golfer.

Rachel was born in New Zealand to a Welsh mother and Danish father - it’s her goal to have visited 70 countries in total before the end of 2025. She loves the ocean, water sports, triangles and caramel popcorn.

Having co-founded and managed a cryptocurrencies fund of funds for 2 years, he has been deeply immersed in the world of digital assets since 2017. With a sharp understanding of market dynamics, Robin has witnessed both the successes and failures of individuals navigating the crypto landscape.

Robin will support Bespoke's client services efforts, leveraging his expertise to provide tailored solutions and guidance to our clients. 

Steve focuses on analyzing equity and thematic investment opportunities, with a particular focus on healthcare tech, biotech, and semiconductors. Steve also focuses on managing the firm’s systematic risk controls, and on trading.

In addition to CI, Steve is an Analyst at Off Wall Street. Prior to OWS, he worked as an equity analyst for a $1B Boston-based wealth management firm, and in equity research for a large institutional investment manager. 

Steve earned his BS in Business from Northeastern University, with a concentration in Finance. He holds the CAIA® (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) and the CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) designations. 

Steve began his university degree in Applied Physics (as a kid he dreamed of building rocket ships), then he switched to Computer Science, only to convert both of these skill sets into a concentration in Finance. He is considered to be CI's "resident rocket scientist". 

Steve is based in Miami.

Tom focuses on analyzing equity and thematic investment opportunities for Cognitive, with a particular focus on software, media, and energy. Tom also manages CI’s internal library of research and field notes.

In addition to CI, Tom is an Analyst at Off Wall Street. Prior to OWS, he worked in research and trading at a $2.5B global macro hedge fund in Boston. He also has prior experience working with individual clients in the financial planning and advisory group of a large financial advisory institution. 

Tom earned his BS from Northeastern University, with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. He also holds the CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. 

Tom is CI’s “Renaissance man”. Growing up he was a three-sport athlete and an accomplished multi-instrument musician! In the sixth grade, he played the keyboard in a band that opened for “The Fray”. Unfortunately, his parents wouldn’t let him go because it was a school night.

Markus is a private wealth lawyer assisting global wealth owners, entrepreneurs, and their families in navigating the complexities of wealth management, wealth planning, estate planning, and family offices. He designs strategies and structures to ensure wealth growth, preservation, and transfer between generations and to achieve peace of mind for everyone involved. Markus brings a wealth of experience in international private wealth and tax law gained in private client practice, private banking, wealth management, and family office services over the last two decades. He is also an expert in financial product and digital assets regulation with significant experience in blockchain and fintech.

When not at the office, Markus is likely to be found skiing in the Alps, working on his golf swing, or swimming in Lake Zurich all year round. Mindfulness keeps him calm and focused, workouts empower him, running teaches him endurance, books take him on adventures, and diving is his ultimate escape from a hectic world.
